Legislative Update: Senate Companion Bill Filed SB 1006: Coverage for Hearing Aids for Children

On Wednesday, the Florida Senate filed a companion bill for hearing aid coverage for children – SB 1006! A big thank you to Senator Baxley for his continued support of this initiative. Check out the bill language, see our legislative supporters, and track the bill’s progress at http://flsenate.gov/Session/Bill/2020/1006. Session begins in January 2020 at which point we will have 60 days to get this bill passed. Please write to your local Congresspeople letting them know you want them to co-sponsor HB 125/SB 1006. Every voice counts and should be heard! Also, track this initiative on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/hearingcareforchildrenact/. Thank you for your continued support of our Florida families that have children with hearing loss.
