Are you ready for the 2016 Florida Academy of Audiology Convention? Make sure to stop by the Exhibit Hall to talk with the exhibitors and get information about new and upcoming products! Among the many companies that will be in attendance, our Gold sponsors Starkey and Widex, and our Silver sponsor Oticon have recently launched some new and exciting products!
Starkey
If music is a top priority for your patient, check out the new products from Starkey! The new Synergy platform uses dual compressors, one for speech and one for music, to provide your patients with superior speech and music quality. Their new 900 MHz products include the Muse and Soundlens, with accessories such as the TV streamer and Surflink Mobile. They also released the Halo 2 which runs on 2.4 GHz and is compatible with smartphones and the Apple Watch.
Included in the launch of the Synergy platform is a new update to the Inspire software which is now more user-friendly than ever! If you have any questions or want to see the new products, stop by the Starkey booth in the Exhibit Hall or join them on Saturday, August 6th for their post conference course, Made for Connections: Limitless Wireless Connectivity with the Synergy Platform from Starkey Hearing Technologies.
Widex
Come find out more about the UNIQUE family of hearing aids from Widex! They utilize four A/D converters to provide a large input dynamic range which processes more soft sounds in addition to a sophisticated sound classifier to help the patient hear better in every situation without having to manually change programs.
To compliment the UNIQUE family is the COM-DEX. Your patients can use this hands-free device to stream phone calls and music directly to their hearing aids. When used in conjunction with the COM-DEX app they can adjust their volume and programs, activate and adjust Zen+, and adjust their microphone directionality – all from their smartphone or Apple Watch!
Come find out more about the UNIQUE family at the Widex booth in the Exhibit Hall or join them Saturday, August 6th, for their post conference course, Introducing Widex UNIQUE: Because Every Situation is Unique.
Oticon
Today’s patients are more connected than ever. Give them what they want with the new Oticon Opn hearing aids – the world’s first internet-connected hearing device. The Oticon Opn connects to the internet via the If This Then That network (IFTTT.com) which allows them to create actions, such as having the lights turn on in your home when you turn on your hearing aids. Parents and caregivers can also have alerts such as low battery warnings sent directly to their phones.
Together with the new Oticon ON app, patients can adjust the volume, change programs, and use the “find my hearing aid” features on their iPhone or Apple Watch.
Find out more about the Oticon Opn and ON app at the Oticon booth during the 2016 FLAA Annual Convention!
