Searching for Florida State Licensed Audiologist
Position – Part-Time or Full-Time Audiologist
Location – Cocoa Beach, FL
Salary – $60-$100/hr plus HA Commission
Beach side private Otolaryngology practice with a large geriatric practice is seeking clinical audiologist with hearing aid skills/experience. We predominately do testes for an adult population but are capable to do behavioral testing for pediatrics which is occasionally needed. A typical day would include scheduled testing for pure tone and speech audiometry with impedance testing/OAEs and occasional work-in patients. We do not do ENG or ABR. Hearing aids are scheduled and generated through the practice. Self-promotion opportunities are available if desired.
This is an ideal position for a candidate who has/wants flexible hours seeking part-time work. The practice consistently provides 3-full days (typically Monday, Tuesday and Thursday) with optional hours on other weekdays. These days can be dedicated to routine audiology, hearing aids or time off depending on the workload.
Responsibilities include managing the hearing aid practice and performing audiological testing in conjunction with the physician. Pay is based on percentage of insurance reimbursement for diagnostic testing, percentage of other sales, and commissions on hearing aids. We have a large backload of Diagnostic testing and even hearing aids to be seen/fitted. Reimbursement can be between $60-$100+/hr based on 3-4 audios/hour. This varies with patient insurance and testing done. If you can do 4 tests per hour, we can stack up the testing in a couple of full days or several ½ days per week. Idea for an audiologist seeking part time or easy full time employment.
Florida state licensed Audiologist. Experience fitting hearing aids is required/desired.
