“Medicare no longer covers any telehealth service provided by an audiologist or speech-language pathologist (SLP) effective immediately. This is because Congress failed to pass legislation extending Medicare telehealth coverage for suppliers beyond September 30, 2025. The end of Medicare telehealth coverage applies ONLY to Medicare. State Medicaid programs and private payers continue to make independent decisions regarding telehealth coverage.”
