Speaker Guidelines

Call for Papers Submission Deadline: April 1, 2020

All abstracts must be submitted via the Call for Papers form on the website. Please click here to be redirected to the form.

Abstracts must be 100 words or less.

You must also include (3) measurable learning objectives. Leaner outcomes should complete the following sentence: “After this course, participants will be able to…” To complete this sentence, follow with a measurable action verb (based on Bloom’s Taxonomy) such as: describe, demonstrate, solve, identify, compare, contrast, evaluate, prepare, summarize, and write. Verbs to avoid: know, understand, learn, comprehend, and believe.

Please ensure that you proofread all presentation names and contributor names. These items will be printed in the Convention Program.

Selected presenters will be notified May 1, 2020.


– Time allotments are limited and sessions will be selected based on content, submission date and available time.

– In an effort to make the Convention look as cohesive as possible, upon acceptance of this speaking opportunity, We ask that you send back your slides in a PDF format by July 15, 2020 so that we may be able to share them with attendees as a reference only. FLAA will never reproduce your slides or use them in any other capacity.
