What university did you attend for graduate school and what year did you graduate?
I graduated from the University of Florida in 2014. Go Gators!
Where do you currently work and what are your specialties?
I am currently working at the University of Miami in the Department of Otolaryngology. My specialties include adult audiological and vestibular diagnostics, adult hearing aids, and pediatric audiological testing.
Why did you become an audiologist?
When I decided to become an audiologist, I not only liked the idea of being an important part of the medical community, but I also felt connected to a profession that works to help people do what they desire most… to connect and engage with family and friends through better hearing. I also believe the field of audiology is an excellent career choice for women!
What is your favorite part of Audiology?
My favorite part of audiology is meeting people from all different walks of life and learning about who they are as a person, and not just a patient.
Why did you join FLAA?
I decided to join FLAA in order to connect with and learn from other audiologists in Florida. I look forward to working with other members of FLAA to become a better audiologist!
What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time in the beautiful (and hot) weather that Miami has to offer. When it just gets too hot to handle, I love hanging out at home and catching up on TV shows with my fiancee.
